Katie was adopted by Shannon Gregory who just recently lost Rocco.
Shannon rescued Katie with the help of Kay Wilkinson of the Alabama
Scottie Rescue from the Birmingham, AL Humane Society where her
owners dumped her.
All of her hair including her beard, eyebrows and skirt had to
be cut off due to mating. When Katie was rescued, her nails/feet
were bad. Her feet are splayed but are slowly healing to where
she is not in any discomfort to walk.
The individuals (owners) that turned Katie over to the Humane
Society stated she was "intolerant". Katie gets along fine with
the other dogs and cats around the neighborhood and is slowly
warming up to other people. Katie loves to snuggle, be in your
lap at all times, take walks, loves to have you talk "doggie"
talk to her and loves to play with all her new toys. Katie seems
very grateful to finally be in a home that appreciates her as
much as she appreciates Shannon.....
