Sophie was found wandering the streets near New
Orleans soon after Katrina and was sent along to a rescue group
near Nashville who have fostered her since then. She was found
wearing a collar and dragging a leash but no tags or microchip.
The rescue group tried to find her owner, and she was featured
on several web sites searching for her owner but no one has come
forward to claim her, so she was turned over to Scottie Rescue
and will be ready to go to her new forever home soon after the
new year.
Sophie is a Scottie mix, about a year old and weighs
about 15 pounds. She is very energetic, and affectionate, but
is also very busy. She loves to play and will entertain her new
family with her winsome ways and vivacious attitude. Sophie needs
a home with no cats, and preferable no other dogs. She is working
on her housetraining, but will need some help in that department.
The ideal home will certainly have a fenced yard, and lots of
time to give to this young gal.
If you are interested in giving Sophie a forever
home, place an application, be sure to put on there that you are
interested in 'Sophie'
